CLASSES:

 


Tack & Turnout

·  12 years & under (both lead rein and non-lead rein)

·  13 years & over

 

 

 In-hand

·  In-hand Mountain & Moorland

·  In-hand pony 14.2hh & under any other breed

·  In-hand horse 14.3hh & over any other breed (Any other breed does not include Mountain & Moorland)

·  In-hand veteran horse or pony

·  In-hand champion; Judged from 1st and 2nd from classes 3-6.

 

 

 Ridden

·  Lead rein 9 years & under (lead rein must be clipped to the back of the noseband, not the bit rings)

·  First ridden 12 years & under

·  Pony Club Pony (may include small jump)

·  Riding Club Horse (may include small jump)

·  Ridden Champion; Judged from 1st and 2nd from classes 8-10

 

 

 Equitation

·  16 years & under- walk, trot & canter

·  17 years & over- walk, trot & canter

(Novices must be ridden in a snaffle bridle)

·  Novice Rider- walk & trot, canter optional

·  Novice Horse/Pony - walk & trot, canter optional

·  Equitation Champion; Judged from 1st and 2nd from classes 13-14.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Rules

·  The judge’s decision is final.

Hard hats conforming to current standards must be worn and properly fastened at all times while mounted.

Horses acting in a way deemed as dangerous to themselves, their handler/rider or anyone else around them will be asked to leave the ring.

Horse and rider combinations may only enter one class from each section (tack & turnout, in-hand, ridden & equitation).

Horses or ponies may only be entered in one class from classes 3-6.

In classes 1 and 8, lead reins must be fastened to the back of the noseband, not the bit rings.

Riders should be prepared to jump a fence at a reasonable height for either Riding Club or Pony Club in classes 10 & 11.

 

 Notes

·  Rosettes will be awarded 1st-6th and specials for runners-up.

·  Buffet and home baking will be available on the day costing £3.

·  Riding Club membership forms can be downloaded from the website and will be available on the day for anyone who wishes to join.

Entries cost £4per class for members and £6 per class for non-members.

All entries on the day will be charged £6.
